Tamarindo

Tamarindo is an incredibly bio diverse area where leatherback turtles come to shore to nest, many species of shore birds and iguana are common place and howler monkeys call home. This popular beach town boasts world class surfing and gained immense popularity with the surf movie, Endless Summer. Perhaps it’s greatest appeal is it’s close proximity to the Tamarindo National Wildlife Refuge. Boasting 1,000 acres of protected forests with abundant mangroves and estuaries.

As long time Tamarindo wedding planners, this once quaint surfing and fishing village has remained one of our all-time favorite wedding locations for many reasons. Tamarindo has retained its laid back vibe yet has developed enough to provide all types of services and easy accessibility to wedding groups. Tamarindo’s extensive development has elements of foreign culture from modernist cafés to chic restaurants saturated into the Tico culture, making for an appealing combination of both worlds. Tamarindo is conveniently located just 1 hour south of the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport in Liberia.
